When my first son was born premature, he spent six weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit. It was so difficult to see my little one in that incubator, but every day brought progress and new achievements that helped me to remain optimistic. I struggled a lot with the lack of information out there from others about what kind of progress to expect from a preemie and what we should be prepared for. I decided that when my son was released, I was going to take time to document our experience. This site is my way to do just that. I hope the information here helps you to be prepared for the road ahead if your baby is born early and needs specialized treatment.
